MIDNIGHT SUN
"Static" : Suite of six drawings by Julie McNiel.
This drawing includes a character that bears resemblance to the multi-breasted one in my drawing, Morrigan. Studies conducted over many years suggest that birds and other migrating animals may find their way via sensitivity to electromagnetic fields. The bird-woman in my drawing is not only sightless, but wingless, yet she is able to traverse the desert-moonscape on her purposeful path, by wielding a number of magnets. As in Morrigan this figure is a kind of action-doll or puppet, for use in play.
