Drawn upon my return from an artist residency with the Earthwatch Institute, in the Skagit River Valley region north of Seattle, Washington. The imagery is inspired by a story of two sisters (two mountains) told by the local Sauk-Siuattle people of the Skagit, and includes a map, fungus, rivers and words in the language of those people. This and other drawings in the series were shown at the Community School for Music and Art in Mountainview, California.
